Monel alloy is a nickel-copper nickel-based alloy with good seawater corrosion resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, strong chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance and good cutting performance. Used in marine heat exchangers, seawater desalination equipment, salt production equipment, marine and chemical processing equipment, etc., the grades are Monel400, Monel405, Monelk500.

Monel 400 is a nickel-copper nickel-based alloy. The structure of the alloy is a high-strength single-phase solid solution, which has good seawater corrosion resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. Compared to copper-based alloys, it has excellent performance in seawater, excellent cavitation resistance, and good resistance to dilute mineral acids such as sulfuric and hydrochloric acid in unventilated conditions. Therefore, it has a wide range of applications in the fields of chemical, petrochemical, marine and marine development, and can be used to manufacture various heat exchange equipment, boiler feed water heaters, petroleum and chemical pipelines, containers, and acid-resistant gas components for oil and natural gas production. Monel 400 is one of the few materials that can come into contact with fluorine, hydrofluoric acid and hydrogen fluoride and their compounds, and has excellent resistance to alkaline media. In addition, Monel400 (UNS N04400) has long been the standard material in the field of salt making due to its excellent corrosion resistance to neutral and alkaline salts. It should be noted that since Monel 400 (N04400) does not contain chromium, the corrosion rate increases significantly under oxidizing conditions.
