Monel K500 is an age-hardening nickel-copper alloy that not only retains the excellent corrosion resistance of 400, but also has higher strength and hardness after precipitation hardening than 400, with a yield strength of about three (3) times that of 400 , The tensile strength is about 2 times, has good heat-resistant corrosion performance and long-term structural stability. Monel K500 is mainly used to manufacture turbine blades and gas turbine blades for aero engines whose working temperature is below 750℃, fasteners and springs on ships, pumps and valve parts on chemical equipment, and squeegee blades on papermaking equipment. MONEL K500 can be precipitation hardened by adding aluminum and titanium, and can be further strengthened by cold working before precipitation hardening.
