Niobium powder

Niobium is an off-white metal with a melting point of 2468°C, a boiling point of 4742°C, and a density of 8.57 g/cm3. Niobium is a shiny gray metal with paramagnetism and belongs to group 5 on the periodic table. Niobium powder is a silver-white metallic luster powder, and the dense oxide film formed on its surface has the properties of one-way conductive valve metal. Niobium has a small neutron capture cross-section, high thermal conductivity and high strength, and is used as a nuclear fuel cladding material, nuclear fuel alloy additive, and heat exchanger structural material in atomic energy reactors. Metallurgical grade niobium powder is mainly used as an alloy additive and the production of welding electrodes, refractory materials, etc.
